The project International Co-operation for the Protection of Waterbirds along their Flyways aimed at intensifying co-operation for the protection of waterbirds along the African-Eurasian Flyway.

A capacity-building training course was organized by WSFI and ODZH aimed at increasing the participants' knowledge of bird monitoring, flyways, and migratory birds.

A training course on the conservation of waterbirds and wetlands in the coastal zone of Sierra Leone brought together 25 participants.

Participants from coastal countries along the western coast of Africa took part in the regional workshop to gain a better understanding of the flyway approach to the conservation and management of waterbirds and wetlands.
