Spatial distribution and nesting behavior of the Black-winged Stilt (Himantopus himantopus, Linnaeus 1758) in the peri-urban wetland of Dakar Technopôle (Senegal, West Africa)

This paper studies the breeding and nesting behavior of the Black-winged stilts hooter population and discusses anthropogenic pressures and threats to the bird population. It also calls for increased efforts for the protection and conservation of the Dakar Technopôle as it constitutes an important wetland ecosystem for the reproduction and survival of many bird species.
