Case study on shorebird / waders conservation measures and recommendations for the Banc d’Arguin

The Parc National du Banc d’Arguin in Mauritania hosts the largest concentrations of coastal waterbirds in the African part of the East Atlantic Flyway. This study analysed the pressures and threats on shorebirds in the area and listed conservation measures and recommendations to improve the sustainable management of the marine diversity in the Banc d’Arguin and to protect the ecosystem of the Gulf of Arguin.
