Building capacities of local associations in the Moroccan Atlantic Sahara in waterbird identification, monitoring and wetlands threats management

During the third phase of the project, two more training workshops on waterbird identification, and the monitoring of waterbirds and wetlands threats were organized with the participation of two groups from three local NGOs. Equipment were provided, and waterbird and wetland monitoring materials were developed and distributed to stakeholders who demonstrated a keen interest in wetlands and bird conservation and eagerness to take part in the winter waterbird censuses.
