Environmental awareness and education project in Mussulo Bay - Angola

Given the significance of Mussulo Bay for waterbirds, several awareness-raising activities, such as waste collection, were carried out. In the Ilhéu dos Pássaros Integral Nature Reserve, an observatory was built to attract students and volunteers interested in waterbird observations. Saco dos Flamingos was acknowledged as an important site given its proximity to the ADPP (Angolan NGO) whose teachers are considered the key to environmental awareness and education for the next generations.
